One of New York’s iconic hip-hop artists Max B, has finally released his much anticipated EP, CHARLY.

Presented by Phase One Network, the 5-track EP is extremely wavy, and makes use of Max B’s unique ability to create a mellow toned atmosphere, that also has tendencies to pop.

“I wanted to give the fans and the people of the world something that would make them feel good in this time of turmoil. CHARLY is my growth; it’s the man, the artist, the CEO, the Eloquent Music God, the father, the lover—all in one place. Charly is the creator of Max Biggaveli, Don Biggaveli, and Wavy Crocket. See, in order to become creative in my position, I had to morph into these different characters just so that I can do the type of music we all love…”- Max B

About Max B:

Charly Wingate, better known by his stage name Max B (short for Max Biggaveli), is a hip-hop and rap icon. He is best known for his mixtapes Public Domain, Coke Wave, and Million Dollar Baby, and for also coining the popular term “wavy”. Between 2006-2009, he released 28 mixtapes (with his debut being in 2006). During that 3-year period, Max was able to leave his imprint on the culture, thanks to the honesty of his music (which he found people resonated with). His unique flow and rough, melodic vocals, have influenced some of hip-hop’s trendiest artists. According to Complex, “His legacy is undeniable.” This sentiment has been echoed by artists such as Drake, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and many more. Max’s musical success came to a halt when he was sentenced to 75 years in prison. Max’s original sentencing was successfully cut down from 75 years to 20 years in September of 2016. Max is currently fighting to cut his 20-year sentencing even further, eyeing a hopeful 2021 release.

In December, his star-studded project House Money was released, featuring A Boogie wit da Hoodie, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Ferg, Dave East, Cam’ron, and Jadakiss. In February, Max B  also released a compilation album titled Wave Pack which included 2 new tracks, Phenomenon, and Run Homeboy Run, bundled with his remastered greatest hits. Currently, Max is preparing for the release of his new solo EP titled Charly.
