Batman to the rescue once again!
DC Comics will be launching a new six-issue series titled “Batman: the Adventures Continue.” The series is a continuation of the much beloved series, “Batman: the Animated Series.”
The comics will be written by the original show’s producers, Paul Dini and Alan Burnett, and illustrated by Ty Templeton.
The Emmy-winning “Animated Series” was the defining moment for the Caped Crusader’s lore as well as that generation’s love for him. It’s where the Adam West Batman days were swiped for a much darker, mature hero, that elevated the mood that was presented by Tim Burton’s films, but then quickly scrapped by Joel Schumacher.
The series is also known for introducing into the canon one of comic’s popular characters, Harley Quinn. The series spawned several feature films, a video game franchise, as well as a shared animated universe that included “Superman: the Animated Series,” as well as “Justice League.”
The comic mini-series will be released by DC Comics this April.
