It’s Friday the 13th and Becky G just released her latest single “Secrets” along with the music video–one that will have chills running down your spine. The video was directed by Phillip R. Lopez (Avicii, Selena Gomez) and takes place in a home where eerie things awaken. She talks about her heartbreak and how he keeps lying to her but thanks to the visual effects, the video illustrates a scarier type of pain rather than another sappy heartbreak song. The video definitely takes on a unique approach, something you wouldn’t expect from a song about pain caused by love. As we enter the “spooky season,” the video fits in well and takes on a horror approach: what better way than to portray heartbreak?
Not only has she just released her latest single, Becky G also received three 2019 Latin American Music Award (Latin AMAs) nominations; and then received another nomination from the E! People’s Choice Awards for Latin Artist of 2019. New single, unique music video, and amazing nominations, the beautiful singer is definitely rising up at a continuous pace.
