Dear golden youth of the Upper East Side, Gossip Girl’s making comeback…
My little finger tells me there’s will be 10 hour long episodes of a new version of the pop culture phenomenon that made household names of stars such as Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick…
Three enigmatic images recently published by the show’s scriptwriter, Eric Eidelstein, on his Twitter account and on the series Instagram account. In these shots, we can see the legs of a young woman sitting on the steps of a staircase. They are accompanied by the famous gimmick “You know you’ll love me”. In the background, the entrance to the prestigious Constance Billiard School. If until then, the universe of the series isn’t going to change, a small detail troubles the fans: the dress code. Gone are the headbands of Blair Waldorf And the pumps, designer dresses by Serena Van Woodsen.
On the picture, there is a mysterious young woman with a streetwear style composed of cargo pants and a pair of sneakers. The first pictures confirm the designers’ will to bring the series back to the forefront. Announced as a “continuity” of the original show, the reboot should take place eight years later. And will feature a whole new generation of wealthy teenagers.
As for casting, we don’t yet know which actors have agreed to continue the series… Gossip Girl will let you know very soon!
« Gossip Girl here, you’re one and only source into the scandalous life of Manhattan’s elite. And Who am I? That’s one secret I’ll never tell. You know you love me. »
