Bottoms up!
Newcomer Cory Marks has released a new single, “Blame it on the Double,” off of his upcoming debut album, “Who I Am,” which you can listen to here.
The country/rock tune, Marks explains, is about those nights out with friends where, after a “little whiskey there’s always a chance for trouble. Don’t blame me, man, blame it on the double!”
The hard rock and country hybrid is a change for the rock genre’s relevance on today’s charts. As Billboard Magazine stated, “In a year where rock music struggled to find its footing on the album and song charts, a hard-rock and country crossover from newcomer Cory Marks has been a breakout success.”
“Blame it on the Double” follows “Outlaws & Outsiders,” which charted well. Its music video has over 7.5 million views.
Marks will be joining fellow Canadian country star, Gord Bamford, on the #REDNEK Music Fest Tour in 2020. For tickets and tour dates, visit the website.
