The New Regime has released a new track, with an accompanying music video, “Heart Mind Body & Soul,” off their latest EP “Body.”
“Body,” following the first two parts “Heart” and “Mind,” is set for release on January 24th, with the upcoming full-length album “Heart Mind Body & Soul” scheduled for a Spring release.
The New Regime is essentially a one-man band, the brainchild of Ilan Rubin, a multi-instrumentalist who’s worked percussion and drums with bands like Nine Inch Nails and Paramore.
The music video, directed by John David Moffat, succeeds “It’s Gonna Be OK,” about keeping staying optimistic in bad times; and “A Way to Feel Again,” about the loneliness that has come with the digital age. Its club lighting paints a psychedelic trip that echoes Pink Floyd’s “Interstellar Overdrive.” Yet, with Rubin’s lyrics and his musical expertise, the video — and the track — stand on its own.
The New Regime will support the forthcoming album on a U.S. tour with Silversun Pickups starting March 1st.
