Exclusively with Mytheresa Men, Maison Margiela has unveiled the Vintage Graffiti sneakers inspired by the house’s emblematic Replicashape, a real classic shown for the first time at a presentation of the Artisanal line in 1999.

In 1994, Martin Margiela decided to launch the first Replica pieces: shirts, dresses and accessories found through the studio’s research, replicated almost identically, but now with a facelift made in Italy to transform the ordinary into the greatest luxury. In this great project, some pieces will be so coveted that they will become house classics, echoes of sure values with tireless good taste. This is the case of the Gat sneaker, which struck Martin Margiela’si nfallible eye during a stopover in Austria in 1996 and which the designer produced for the first time at a presentation of the Artisanal line in 1999.
