On June 24th, a discreet location in Downtown Los Angeles became the stage for something rare, a private invitation into the elusive world of NORR Kitchen, where culinary design, storytelling, and performance converge in quiet but undeniable luxury.

VULKAN was honored to be invited to the unveiling, an immersive evening that felt less like a dinner and more like a whispered secret shared between creatives, tastemakers, and visionaries. Founded by Christiann Koepke and Cory Marcus, NORR is not a restaurant, not a catering service, but a living collective, ever-evolving, design-forward, and emotionally resonant.

From the moment guests arrived, greeted with a chilled glass of Krug Champagne and led into a cinematic tasting room, it was clear this was no ordinary event. The space was transformed into a story, curated lighting, layered textures, moody soundscapes, and a six-bite guided tasting that unfolded like a narrative. Each bite told a part of the NORR vision, a delicate balance of elegance, intimacy, and intention.

After the tasting, the evening gave way to a vibrant afterparty where champagne from the exclusice Krug family, crafted cocktails, and ambient performance melted into the atmosphere. It was an event built not only for experience, but for memory.

“We didn’t just host an event,” said co-founder Christiann Koepke, “we opened eyes to what’s possible with curation. With partners like Krug, Medlock Ames, The Macallan, Sonos, and others, we created an immersive experience that brought brand storytelling to life. The result was exceptional.”

Every detail of the evening down to the brush of linen and the flicker of candlelight was deliberate. As Cory Marcus describes it:

“The evening didn’t just whisper sexy, it exhaled it. The food was sensual, the air was rich, and everyone moved like part of the same beautiful secret. It wasn’t dinner. It was seductive, plated and poured.”

For a collective known for staging ultra-private culinary moments in remote villas and mountaintops, opening its doors to a broader audience, even briefly, was a bold gesture. One that revealed NORR’s devotion to not only craft but connection.

This is not an experience that ends when the lights come up. As Marcus noted:

“By the end of the night, we weren’t staff, we were part of the memory.”
