Today, she will tell Vulkan Magazine readers how to shoot the perfect digitals at home.We have invited an Italian model of Ukrainian origin, Daria Melocchi (Next Milan) to the digital photo shoot. I always jokingly say that preparing for a digital shoot is as important as preparing for a meeting with the president.Everything must be perfect: skin, hair, and, most importantly, lighting.
You don’t have to rent a studio to take photos. If the size of the room is sufficient, shoot at home!
The first and most important thing is to find the perfect lighting. Sunlight should be diffused.
You should not eat salty foods, eggs, mushrooms, or sushi the day before the shoot. Do not eat or drink anything that causes a load on your kidneys: your body may become swollen the next day.
Drink one cup of coffee in the morning to remove excess water from your body.
In the morning, wash your hair, and apply a hair mask to give your hair shine.
I do not recommend a strong styling, but the hair should look neat and well-groomed.
Do not dry yourself with a towel when you get out of the shower. Apply an oil on wet drops all over your body and then towel off. This will make your skin incredibly hydrated and rested.
You can use any oil, for example, coconut or grape seed oil.
Do not apply the oil on your face, it can clog your pores.
Don’t use body highlighters. Photos should not have the effect of any makeup!
Moisturize your face with cream. You can apply a very thin layer of concealer if you have darkness under your eyes and a moisturizing lip balm.
When choosing a swimsuit, take a black, one-piece that fits your body perfectly. It should be the right size and not be too tight on your body.
Choose the highest-heeled open-toe sandals without a platform or classic pumps to lengthen your legs.
You can also be without shoes; this kind of digital shooting is popular in Miami.
We shot two versions of the digitals, and both are correct.
You must provide the agency with 10-15 photos for the model’s confirmation.
Do not forget to shoot several variants of profiles, half profiles, and fronts.
