After pushing forward the release of her album to give fans a musical release during quarantine “Future Nostalgia” by Dua Lipa is here. The pop-singer had no idea that when she named the album it would be the perfect feeling for our current time. As we all social distance is our houses unsure of what’s to come, we could all use a little “Future Nostalgia”.

The album name is also fitting for the vibe of the work. Many of the songs give off a disco feel that can make many feel nostalgic toward the 70s nightclub and dance scene. However, there’s also a futuristic twist to the disco vibes that makes the piece feel much more modern.

“Future Nostalgia” also gives us a string of female pop anthems. Dua has never been shy to give her advice to the ladies, as we’ve all heard with “New Rules”. This album features even more power to the ladies with songs like “Boys will be Boys” and of course “Don’t Start Now”. As the lead single off the album “Don’t Start Now” has already earned Dua millions of streams and a top-three spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

In support of her album, Dua will be embarking on a European tour starting in May. As of right now, no American dates have been announced. Hopefully, the world will be in a healthier situation in time for the summer dates as many tours have been canceled or rescheduled due to COVID-19.

“Future Nostalgia” is available to buy, download and stream now.
