A short trip to the futuristic city: Dubai!
Located near the famous Burj Khalifa Tower, this ultra-modern building called The Opus is home to the ME Dubai, the only hotel whose architecture was designed by Zaha Hadid, who died in 2018.
Recently completed, this building, with a total surface area of 84,300 square meters, was designed as two separate towers joining to form a cube with a gutted centre. Connected by a four-storey atrium at ground level, they are also joined by three floors 71 metres above ground level, creating an impressive curved void in the middle made from 3D digital modelling. While the exterior structure with a mirror surface reflects the surrounding skyscrapers during the day, at night the void captures all the light and is dressed in a bluish halo.
Inside, the hotel’s 74 rooms and 19 suites are furnished with futuristic designs. In addition to the ME Dubai, The Opus also hosts offices, private residences and numerous restaurants, cafés and bars.
