Beauty doesn’t always need to whisper. Sometimes, it should make an entrance.
That sentiment sits comfortably within the universe of Bang Bang Cosmetics, a French makeup brand built around glamour, performance and a decidedly unapologetic femininity.
From our side of the Atlantic, French beauty will always hold a certain fascination. As a U.S.-based publication, we love discovering independent French names that challenge the familiar codes of the beauty industry and Bang Bang arrives with an aesthetic that feels difficult to ignore.
Created by Jérôme Devisme, who brings more than 15 years of experience in the beauty industry, Bang Bang was conceived around the idea of a woman who is free, curious and audacious. She is elegant without being conventional, provocative without trying too hard and interested in makeup that reflects the different sides of her personality.
It’s French beauty, but not the barely-there version.

A Different Kind of French Glamour
Visually, Bang Bang speaks in gold.
The collection’s metallic packaging is sleek and architectural, with its lipstick housed in an elongated, almost objet-like case. There is something intentionally excessive about it, in the best possible way. This is makeup meant to be seen.
Underneath that exterior, however, is an ingredient story that gives the collection another dimension.
Nigella oil sits at the heart of Bang Bang’s formulas, chosen for its nourishing, antioxidant and protective properties. The brand credits veteran formulator Richard Girousse with incorporating the ingredient throughout the makeup range, pairing cosmetic performance with a more care-focused approach to formulation.
Girousse brings more than two decades of formulation experience, including experience at Make Up For Ever. He is joined by fashion makeup artist Julien Rol, who contributes to Bang Bang’s visual identity, and Hervé Bouvier, a former executive at Estée Lauder and Bobbi Brown involved in the brand’s strategic development.
The Eternal Line

Bang Bang calls its collection Eternal, and its essentials cover the building blocks of a full makeup wardrobe.
Eternal Matte is the statement piece: a long-wearing lipstick offered in ten shades and enriched with nigella oil. Eternal Pencil moves between lips and eyes, while the waterproof Eternal Liner sharpens the gaze in black or brown.
Eternal Mascara combines nigella oil, carnauba wax and panthenol for length and volume, while the Eternal Shadow palette shifts the collection into color with a selection of blendable shades. Eternal Light finishes things with mineral-powder luminosity.
Together, the products make the Bang Bang proposition clear: femininity doesn’t have to be quiet to be sophisticated.
In a beauty landscape increasingly dominated by minimalism, Bang Bang chooses another route. Gold packaging. Saturated lips. Defined eyes. A little provocation.
And maybe that’s exactly why this French newcomer caught our attention all the way from the U.S.
Bang Bang isn’t interested in disappearing into the beauty landscape. It’s here to make some noise.
