This store is one of the most recognized jewelry retail spaces in the world….
For the first time in 70 years, Tiffany & Co.’s Fifth Avenue store has closed for renovations. The iconic New York flagship store will keep its doors closed until 2021. For over a year, fans of the jewelry store will have to head half a block east to a Tiffany’s temporary flagship store on 57th Street.
The temporary flagship means Tiffany’s has downsized from 10 floors to four. The luxury brand gives a more modern image including a digital floor-to-ceiling display with moving arrows in its signature robin’s-egg blue color. They set up a calendar of activities: exhibitions with retail partners and entertainment and more. Recently, Tiffany & Co organized in the new space a rack of complimentary Tiffany-branded postcards next to a blue mailbox for tourists to write cards that Tiffany will then mail.
The infamous blue box café will also be under construction until 2021.
A breath of fresh air for the company known for its blue packaging with white ribbon!
