Sasha Pieterse is no stranger to storytelling, but stepping behind the mic for Women in the Nude opened up a whole new world. “I wanted that sense of community,” she shares. Motherhood and personal health struggles pushed her to create a space where real conversations about women’s health, mental wellness, and business thrive. “Sometimes, you just need to hear from someone who’s been there.”

The core message of her podcast? “You’re not alone.” She believes in the power of open dialogue to break stigmas and drive change. “There’s too much misinformation and not enough research, especially about women’s health. The more we talk, the more awareness we create.”

Sasha emphasizes that her podcast isn’t just for women. “I think everyone should be part of these conversations. The more inclusive they are, the more impact we can make. Women’s health isn’t just a ‘women’s issue’—it affects families, relationships, and entire communities.”

Empathy, Acting, and Unexpected Lessons

Hosting a podcast has changed how she approaches storytelling. “Acting is about stepping into someone else’s shoes, but now I get to hear real experiences from so many perspectives—it makes me a better actor and a better person.” One of her most eye-opening guests? Dr. Karen Tang, a gynecologist and advocate for women’s health. “She’s incredible. I’ve learned so much from her. Women’s health needs more attention and resources, and she’s pushing for that.”

Sasha is meticulous about preparation when interviewing guests. “I love bringing friends on because it’s easy, but I also do deep research on people I don’t know personally. My goal is to ask them something they haven’t been asked before—to uncover something new about them.” She adds, “People are so much more than their social media presence. I love finding out what truly makes them tick.”

From PLL to Future Dreams

Having started her acting career at just four, Sasha’s journey has been a ride. “I grew up on Pretty Little Liars. I started as a girl and left as a woman. The friendships, the experiences, the work ethic—it all shaped who I am.” One of her most surreal memories? “Being buried alive. That was intense, but also weirdly fun!”

Now, she’s eager to explore new genres. “I’ve dipped into comedy and loved it, but I want to do action. The training is intense, but that challenge excites me.” Her dream role? “Something completely different from what I’ve done before. I want to sink my teeth into something unexpected.”

Sasha reflects on her evolution. “When I started, acting was more technical—learning lines, hitting marks. Now, it’s about emotion and authenticity. I want to play complex, challenging roles that push me.

Owning Her Health Journey

Sasha has been candid about her struggles with PCOS. “I spent years not knowing what was wrong with me. Seventeen gynecologists later, one endocrinologist finally listened.” She hopes her story empowers others to advocate for their health. “If something feels off, fight for answers.”

She’s passionate about raising awareness for women’s health. “PCOS affects so many women, yet it’s under-researched and misunderstood. We need better education and more specialists willing to listen.”

She shares how it changed her life. “I had to completely rethink my diet, my exercise, even my mental health. It’s a journey, but I’ve learned how to take care of myself in ways I never did before.”

Staying Real in a Filtered World

With social media’s curated perfection, how does she stay grounded? “I love dressing up and red carpets, but I also share no-makeup moments, family life—everything. Authenticity is key.”

Her advice for young women struggling with body image? “Listen to yourself, not others’ opinions. Prioritize your health. Society has unrealistic expectations, but your well-being is what truly matters.”

She acknowledges the pressures of Hollywood. “I’ve been scrutinized publicly for my body, my health—everything. But I refuse to let that define me. The more honest I am, the more I connect with people who feel the same way.”

Cooking, Dream Guests & What’s Next

Her passion for food led to Sasha in Good Taste, but her go-to comfort food? “Cookie dough—forever!” She loves hosting and experimenting in the kitchen. “Food is a playground. You just have to find what excites you.”

She also loves the creativity of cooking. “It’s like acting in a way—you take raw ingredients and create something beautiful. It’s an art.”

If she could host a dinner party with any three guests? “Marilyn Monroe, Meryl Streep, and Anne Frank—what a conversation that would be!”

What’s Next?

Between podcasting, acting, and running her non-alcoholic beverage brand, Hippie Water, Sasha is unstoppable. “I love creating. Being CEO of Hippie Water has been such a rewarding challenge, and we have exciting things coming.”
Her inspiration behind Hippie Water? “I realized alcohol wasn’t working for me anymore. I wanted something that still felt social and celebratory but without the negative effects.”

As for acting? “I have a few projects in the works—some I can’t talk about yet, but they involve action and storytelling in a new way for me.”

She’s also developing new ideas. “I’m writing and creating more. There’s something incredibly empowering about taking control of your own narrative.”

One thing’s for sure—Sasha Pieterse is only getting started. “I’m in a phase of my life where I want to create things that matter. Whether it’s acting, podcasting, or business, I want to leave a mark.” And with her passion and drive, she certainly will.
